32.5 hours per week – flexible start and end times

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant SENCo Facilitator to support and co-ordinate the provision for pupils with special educational needs (SEN) under the direction of the Headteacher.
Key Responsibilities:
Support to Pupils - Identify effective teaching approaches for learners with SEN, monitor progress, and set achievement targets
Training - Provide training for teaching assistants and staff on SEN best practices
SEN Documentation - Manage pupils' special needs statements, coordinate annual reviews, and assist in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Communication - Attend consultation meetings with parents to keep them informed of their child’s progress
SEN Development - Promote recognition of statutory responsibilities to SEN learners and share good practices across the school. Advise the Headteacher on resources and priorities for SEN development.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with SEN pupils and supporting teaching staff
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to create and monitor development plans for individuals and groups of pupils
