As the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. You will greet visitors with a friendly, helpful approach, ensuring they feel valued and supported. Handling inquiries and directing them to the appropriate person or department will be essential.
Your responsibilities will include managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence, ensuring all communication is handled promptly and professionally. Maintaining accurate student records, updating attendance, processing paperwork, and adhering to school policies will be central to your role.
You will assist staff with daily office duties, including document preparation, scheduling, and office management. Your proactive and collaborative work style will help ensure the smooth running of the school.
Confidence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and school database systems is essential. The ability to quickly learn new systems will be beneficial.
You will also organise and coordinate school events, including parent evenings, open days, and staff meetings, ensuring all logistics are handled smoothly. Strong organisational skills are crucial for making these events successful.
Finally, you will adhere to confidentiality and safeguarding procedures at all times, ensuring the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors. Your professionalism and commitment to safeguarding policies are vital in maintaining a secure school environment.
